Hi, I’m Emily Leimbach! I’ve lived in Puerto Rico for four years. I’ve always loved to read—my mom and I had a tradition of reading together before bed. My mom has instilled in me an incredible love and passion for reading, and I’ve always felt that this has given me an upper hand at school.

Growing up around a lot of different people, I have realized that there are major differences in reading levels within different school systems; some kids are quite advanced in their reading levels and others are much farther behind.

I was driven to create Emily’s Book Boxes to try to instill a love of reading in all children. Simply put, I love reading and I want to spread that joy to other people, not only because reading makes you happier, but because research shows that reading level during the early years of childhood is linked to improved life outcomes.
